Founded in suburban Maryland in 2020, VividMemoirs is the creation of a visionary senior living professional named Jeanne, who had a blast interviewing hundreds of amazing retirees as part of a former job. She met Joe, a 30-year CIA agent who had participated in numerous world-changing events - but had never recorded his memoirs. She met Hilda, a 92-year-old former department store window designer who had travelled the world opening glamorous storefronts - now sitting quietly in her senior apartment, having never told her neighbors of her accomplishments. Jeanne and her family wanted to find a way to make it easier for people to capture their life stories.

Until recently, the only way for someone to create a "personal video biography" was to hire a documentarian to follow him or her around for days - prices ranged from $1,500 to $30,000! To make such a treasure affordable to everyone, Jeanne used her expertise in visual storytelling and software integrations to build VividMemoirs, envisioned to be a benefit to retirement communities and other senior health organizations throughout the world, so that older adults like Joe and Hilda could leave their mark on history.
